Fast ForWord

The Fast ForWord computerized training program may be helpful for
children with a variety of diagnoses. Appropriate issues can include:

These children often have strong visual systems but weak auditory
systems. Fast ForWord seeks to retrain these children’s brains to improve
that auditory system, so they are able to process language more
efficiently.

Under the direction of Sabra Gelfond Ingall, National Speech was one of
the first centers in the country to conduct research on Fast ForWord. Our
center played a key role in bringing the program out of the "lab" and into
the public arena. Children who have participated in the program have
gained an average of one-and-a-half years of language skills in as little
as six to eight weeks of training in our center. Fast ForWord is available,
through National Speech, in our office or in your own home.
